DRINK & DRUGS NEWS :: Service User Involvement Conference
The DDN/Alliance First National Service User Involvement
Conference at the Second City Suite in Birmingham on 31 January
2008 saw 600 delegates, representing both service users and professionals,
gather for presentations and debate on effective user involvement
in the provision of drug and alcohol services.
In the morning there were presentations from The NTA,
service users and providers, while the afternoon was split into
groups for facilitated debates on key issues.
The full programme, speakers biographies and
a delegate list are below, along with some of the PowerPoint presentations
given on the day. The feedback from the conference is being written
up for the 25 February DDN, which will be a special issue focusing
on service user involvement.
